About the Kyle Baxter Project

Welcome to the most exciting, family-friendly, outrageous, mind-bending, random, adjective-describing humor blog in the contiguous 48 states (Alaska has some real hum-dingers; I can’t compete with that). If you’ll give it a chance and read a few posts, I believe you’ll find something that makes you laugh out loud.

Perhaps you’ll be reading through my posts thinking, “This is so stupid. My 10-year-old brother, who is in remedial classes, would think this is funny.” In that case, you have my permission to never visit my site again. However, you must promise me you’ll pass this on your 10-year-old brother. Conversely, if you get as much enjoyment out of these posts as I do, then it makes perfect sense that you would start telling like-minded individuals who might enjoy them as well.

–“What is the Kyle Baxter Project?” Originally, the Kyle Baxter Project was a band I was in for 1 entire day when I was 16. We played 1 show at a middle school, and we were a cover band. Thank God no one was taping it. The name was really catchy, so I have carried in the back of my mind, using it for such things as a Halo 2 online “gamer tag”. Currently, the Kyle Baxter Project is a blog that catalogs my innermost thoughts, in all their mediocrity.

–“If you are not Kyle Baxter, then who are you?” My name is Paul, and I am a husband, college graduate, writer, and proud father (of 2 cats, Louie and Rocco).

–“Where do you get your ideas?” Throughout the day, I write down random thoughts on any piece of paper within reach. At the end of they day, I have receipts and other assorted paper scraps in my pockets, which I then transfer to my blog in outline form. Later on, when I feel inspired, I fill in my outline and hope that it strikes a chord with my readers.

–“Why are you so ridiculously handsome?” DNA, I suppose. It helps that my parents are individually nice-looking people. It would make sense, then, that I would be as well. Great question.

–“What is the quickest way to get to your first posts so I can read all of them in order?” Next to my posts, there are some links below “Archives”. October 2008 is where you would find my first posts. I have noticed those posts rarely get any traffic, and I personally recommend that you find them, because some of my best work happened early. The best news, of course, is that I have not written too many posts yet. It’s not too late for you to get in on the ground floor and see why all the cool kids are drawn to the Kyle Baxter Project month after month!

–“Is it okay if I leave you many comments?” Of course! I really enjoy fresh comments, even on older posts. Write them, send them, and check back, because I reply to almost every comment I receive.

–“Should I keep the Kyle Baxter Project a closely-guarded secret?” No. I would strongly appreciate it if you would share your love of this blog with friends, family, bosses, strangers, and hitchhikers.

Haha, I visited kylebaxter.com. He’s much taller than me (6’4″), and apparently likes theater (which I do NOT). I hope he makes it big, though, so people will stumble across this site while searching for him.
